How to Make Payment

A Simple, Secure Way to Honour Our Artisans Directly

Every tapestry you purchase is more than just a beautiful piece of art—it’s a direct act of support for Amazonian mothers and their families. To make this as clear and seamless as possible, we’ve laid out each step of the payment process below, so you know exactly what to expect and why it matters.

Step-by-Step Payment Instructions


Select & “Buy Now”

  • Click “Buy Now” on your chosen tapestry.
  • Complete the standard online checkout—just like any other purchase.
  • No payment is taken at this point.

Check Your Inbox

  • Within moments, you’ll receive an order confirmation email.
  • This email contains your order summary and all payment details.

Review Payment Details

  • In the email you’ll find:
    • The total amount owing
    • The Shipibo artisan’s PayPal address (email)
    • Remember to use PayPal Friends & Family

Complete Payment via PayPal

  • Log in to your PayPal account.
  • Send the exact amount to the artisan’s PayPal address using Friends & Family.
  • This ensures funds arrive immediately and avoid holds on business transactions.

1. Log In to Your PayPal Account

  1. Go to paypal.com and click Log In (top right).
  2. Enter your email address and password, then click Log In.

2. Navigate to “Send & Request”

  1. From the top menu, depending on how it is labelled, click Send & Request or Pay & Get Paid
  2. Under Send money, choose Send.
  3. or look for the Send Money in the Quick access.

    3. Enter the Artisan’s PayPal Email

    1. In the “Send money” field, type the artisan’s PayPal address exactly as shown in your confirmation email.
    2. Click Next.

      4. Enter the Payment Amount

      1. In the Amount box, enter the total owing exactly as stated.
      2. Ensure the currency is AUD.
      3. You may see a field called What’s this for?
        • you may write a brief message, for example:“Thank you for your beautiful tapestry – order #1234”
      4. Click Next.

        5. Select “Friends and Family”

        1. Under “You’re sending to a friend” (or similar header), click Change if it doesn’t default to “Friends and Family.”
        2. Select “Friends and Family” (sometimes labelled Personal).
        3. Click Confirm.

        Why “Friends & Family”?
        Payments sent as “Friends & Family” are not held by PayPal as business transactions, so the artisan receives funds immediately.

        6. Review & Send

        1. Carefully review:
          • Recipient email address
          • Payment amount and currency
          • Payment type (“Friends & Family”)
        2. Click Send.

        7. Confirmation

        1. You’ll see a “You’ve sent money” confirmation screen.
        2. You’ll also receive a PayPal email receipt.
        3. No further action is needed—your payment is complete!

        Pay Within 24 Hours

        • Please complete your payment within 24 hours of receiving the email.
        • If payment isn’t received in that window, your order will be cancelled and the item restocked.

        Await Your Shipping Confirmation

        • Once the artisan ships your tapestry, you’ll get a second email confirming dispatch.
        • Sit back and relax—your tapestry is on its way from the Amazon!
